Loulé's Carnival received, once again, the EcoEvent certification by ALGAR; EGF's concessionaire in the Algarve region.

The recyclable waste collected throughout the event were delievered to ALGAR, and then weighed and "measured", resulting in a financial compensation that was offered by the Municipality of Loulé to "Existir", a charitable organization for the intervention and rehabilitation of poor and disadvantaged populations.

In this sense, it was requested to all participants of the event to separate their waste correctly. Paper/cardboard packaging; plastic/metal and glass were placed in the right ecopoints available in the precinct.

The theme for this year's edition of Loulé's Carnival was: Cinema. Loulé's parade, which is over 100 years old, one of the oldest in the country, took to the streets this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with a total of 600 extras, who paraded in the streets on top of the 14 Carnival floats.
