As part of the "Recycle is what you are giving" campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of recycling, Valorlis, the EGF Concessionaire for the region of Leiria, challenged the entire population to participate in the 7th Valorlis Bicycle Tour - On the Route of Packaging ", on October 15.
Once again the membership exceeded expectations and the tour was attended by 270 participants from 5 to 72 years. The tour started in Valorlis, with two courses, a shorter one of only 10 km, where the participants returned by bus to Valorlis and a longer course of 30 km.
At Valorlis, there was animation for children with reuse ateliers and games related to the theme of recycling. Also present was the falconer of Valorlis with a flying demonstration of birds of prey, which charmed children and adults. The morning ended with a convivial lunch.
The entries had the symbolic value of six plastic, metal, glass, carton or carton packs of liquid food cartons that each participant deposited in the containers placed in the match. In only oe morning, it was possible to collect about 250 kg of packaging for recycling.
"This tour is part of the policy of proximity and" open doors "that Valorlis maintains from the first day. On Sunday morning we were able to bring entire families together in a different activity, but with our goal to always warn of the importance of recycling ", explains Nuno Heitor, Valorlis' General Director.
The 7th Bicycle Tour of Valorlis was organized by the AIRBIKE - Cycling Association, with the support of Gopaper. "The success of the initiative, a fun bike ride in which the motto is recycling, and the various requests of the participants at the end, already lead us to consider the Bicycle Tour Valorlis as an annual event," says Nuno Heitor.
