At EGF, energy production is a vector of innovation, and all the energy produced through waste is exported to the national power grid. That energy is produced by the Valorsul’s energy recovery plant, but also in the sanitary landfills and in anaerobic digestion facilities existing in various parts of the country. EGF’s energy production in 2019 amounted to 501 GWh/year.
