The Municipality of Faro organized, between April 20 and 28, the twelfth edition of the ecological action Clean the Ria Formosa. This initiative fits into the environmental education activities of the Blue Flag Program of the county and intends to carry out a cleaning action in the areal, marsh and islets.
 
This action already counts on the synergy developed between several entities and with a range of volunteers who will try to transmit a message of awareness for the preservation of the natural resources existing in Ria Formosa.
 
Algar, EGF Concessionaire for the Algarve region, participated in this initiative by providing colored bags for the disposal of recyclable waste, and made available its services to receive the waste that will be collected during cleaning, subject to admission to the their facilities.
