Algar will participate in the Webinar "Waste Management in times of COVID-19", June 5th, to celebrate the International Environment Day. The company will be represented by Engineer Miguel Nunes, responsible for the technical, research and development areas of the concessionaire.

The event will take place from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm and includes the following participations: Paulo Costa from Fagar, Renata Fleck from Sciaena and Carla Martins from LinkedGreen.

Sciaena, a Portuguese marine conservation NGO, together with Linked.Green promote this event within the scope of the United Nations #SDG14, concerning the protection of our oceans and, more specifically, the sub-objective 14.1: By 2025, prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, especially from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution. It aims to share information, scientific knowledge and solutions on the problem of plastic pollution.
