SEPTEMBER 24, 2021

Amarsul continues to promote the social responsibility campaign TONS OF HELP, which is being expanded at all EGF concessionaires and is aimed at all social support organizations (IPSS) located in the concessionaires' intervention area.

This campaign aims to value all recyclable waste that registered institutions want to deliver to Amarsul, namely plastic, metal, paper, cardboard and glass packaging, in exchange for a financial contribution.

To promote the initiative, Amarsul and the Setúbal Food Bank Against Hunger signed a protocol in January 2021.

The Food Bank Against Hunger, from Setúbal, in the first half of the campaign, delivered 97,200 kg of paper/cardboard, 3,130 kg of plastic/metal and 140 kg of glass at Amarsul's facilities. The Food Bank supports 202 institutions in the 14 municipalities in its area of intervention, which runs from Almada to Odemira, 176 of which are located on the Setúbal Peninsula, which also participate and contribute to the separation and delivery of recyclable packaging waste. The financial contribution will be used to purchase food to reinforce baskets of families supported by the institution.

RECYCLE AND HELP THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST!

HOW DOES THE TONS OF HELP CAMPAIGN WORK?

This new Campaign consists of valuing all the recyclable waste that institutions want to deliver to Amarsul, namely, plastic and metal packaging, paper and cardboard and glass packaging.

To participate, you must register with Amarsul via email comunicacao@amarsul.pt. After receiving the data, a customer form will be opened which will act as a current account for each institution in order to quantify the weight of the material delivered, and a weighing slip will then be made available.

WHERE?

The materials must be delivered directly to Amarsul's facilities, namely: Ecoparque do Seixal – Sorting Center, Ecoparque de Setúbal or Eco-transfer of Sesimbra (locations and times available at https://www.amarsul.pt/pt/ contacts/facilities/).

The initiative has gained support from the population and from various local entities, which with the gesture of separating waste ensure its recycling and contribute to helping those who need it most.
