The 25th Super Bock Super Rock returned to Meco between July 17 and 20 and was an Amarsul Ecoevent.

 

With the support of Amarsul and the Municipality of Sesimbra a selective packaging collection system was implemented at Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta. In an unprecedented operation, 104 equipments were available, including 30 m3 structures for the packaging of paper / cardboard and plastic and metal packaging, reinforcement in all the waste production sites of the enclosure, stages and camping with 38 Ecopoints. metal and tilting glass distribution to the glass producing stands, as well as metal structures for selective deposition.

 

 

 

It also had an awareness raising action for campers, dedicated to the good practices of prevention, reuse and recycling of waste. The organization of the Super Bock Super Rock festival by collaborating in the monitoring and evaluation of results regarding the waste produced contributed decisively to the diversion of landfill waste by implementing good environmental practices.

 

Amarsul teams received the campers, sensitized and made known the location of the festival's permanent containers and collected used plastic packaging under the motto: “Recycle everything, always and everywhere!”

 

In addition, the organization has established partnerships with the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests, the environmental association Quercus and Sociedade Ponto Verde.

 

At the end of the event, the results were over 8 tons of packaging for recycling: 4,583kg of plastic and metal, 2,343kg of paper and cardboard and 1,219kg of glass, produced by about 80,000 visitors in just 4 days. The counterpart value of these packages will be donated by the organization to the League of Friends of Lagoa de Albufeira - LIALA.

 

Amarsul's “Ecoeventos Program” is a project co-funded by POSEUR - Operational Program for Sustainability and Resource Efficiency, integrated in a national campaign coordinated by EGF, and aims to significantly contribute to the increase in the quantity and quality of selectively collected materials. at events.
