Antonis Mavropoulos is speaker at an EGF event.

EGF, in partnership with FNAC Portugal, will organize a unique event,  free of charge and open to the general public, on the topic of waste management.

 

On December 15th, at 11:00 am, at the Fnac Auditorium in Colombo, we will receive Antonis Mavropoulos, founder and CEO of D-Waste and former President of ISWA, for the presentation of his latest book.

 

A champion of science activism and human rights, Antonis Mavropoulos will present his latest book, Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy: Towards a Wasteless Future or a Wasteful Planet?, which he co-authored with Anders Waage Nilsen, which was released in 2020.

 

Come and get to know how the man who is one of the most influential researchers in the area of ​​resource and waste management, the circular economy and its relationship with industry 4.0 thinks.

Antonis Mavropoulos

Antonis Mavropoulos is the founder and CEO of D-Waste consultants. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of UNEP’s International Environmental Technologies Centre, and he serves as a strategy advisor for the Let’s Do It and SEAQUAL foundations. He has served for 4 years as the President of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) and 8 years as the Chair of ISWA Scientific and Technical Committee.

He has been involved in solid waste management projects for 25 years in 30 countries and he has extensive experiences working with both the public and the private sector. He has invented the Waste Atlas, and he has designed several information systems and mobile apps for resource recovery purposes.

His recent book “Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy” (co-authored with Anders Waage Nilsen) deals with the dynamics between the on-going fourth industrial revolution and the challenge of circular economy.
