The Portuguese Secretary General for the Environment and Climate Action presented, on July 07th, the Strategic Guidelines for Biowaste.

The Ministry's guidelines point out selective collection and treatment solutions and predict the articulation of the several municipalities with Urban Waste Management Systems, with interested parties and with the citizens, as to return to the land what belongs to the land, in a circular economy aspect, fulfilling, at least, 5 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 20/30: #2 - Zero Hunger, #7 - Affordable and Clean Energy, #12 - Responsible Consumption and Production, #13 - Climate Action and #15 - Life on Land.
