"Portugal em Direto", a program from the Portuguese public broadcast channel RTP1, followed the dismantling of the recyclable Christmas tree from the parish of Santo Amaro in Sousel, a region belonging to Valnor, EGF's concessionaire in the north of Alentejo.

Together, Valnor, the Parish Council, and the school children from Santo Amaro, dismantled the Christmas tree and placed more than 5,000 plastic bottles in bags supplied by Valnor.

Afterwards, the bags were collected by a Valnor vehicle that pressed all the packages to then transport them to the sorting center.

All bottles were sent to the recycling industry to be transformed into new pens, buckets, vases or new packaging.
