Professional Football Week is once again an Ecoevent where good environmental practices will be promoted

For the second season running, EGF and the Football Foundation - Liga Portugal are turning the Allianz CUP Final Four into an Ecoevent, which is taking place in Leiria until 27 January.

More than just three football matches where the new Winter Champion will be crowned, the Final Four is also a week full of entertainment and activities that promise to bring a very special colour to the city of Lis and involve the entire local community, while at the same time being an Ecoevent.

During this week, there will be many environmental awareness activities promoted by EGF and Valorlis, which is responsible for containerisation in the Fan Zone area, which will be available to the whole community at the Football Foundation - Liga Portugal stand in this same space, located right in the heart of Leiria.

On match days, the Estádio Municipal de Leiria - Dr. Magalhães Pessoa will be reinforced with recycling containers, so that every football spectacle has a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, as is the Football Foundation's prerogative.

It should also be noted that on 26 January, students from the Domingos Sequeira Secondary School will create an art installation using recycled materials collected over the course of these days, next to the Leiria Municipal Stadium. This same installation will then be exhibited on the day most awaited by all: the grand final, on 27 January. In the Recycle Bingo app, EGF's game that encourages and rewards good environmental practices, a special and exclusive mission will be available to all users throughout this week dedicated to Professional Football.

This Eco-event takes place within the scope of the cooperation protocol for Sustainability between EGF and the Football Foundation, which provides for the joint organisation and promotion of events and initiatives related to the respective areas of activity.

All the ingredients are therefore in place for this to be a great celebration of professional football, with full respect for its environmental commitments!
