EGF was present and strongly represented at the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) World Congress, the largest event in the sector worldwide, which will be held this year in Bilbao, Spain, from October 7-10.
This year's participation was marked by the international presentation of the project OUR HOUSE IS A PLANET, the environmental education project dedicated to the school community that presents educational films for the various levels of education through itinerant planetariums. In Bilbao, for the first time, the English versions of the 3 films that are projected in 360º in inflatable domes were being presented, presenting a novelty in the event and for the congress participants.
In addition to the planetarium in the exhibition space, available to all participants, Ana Loureiro, Director of Communication, presentes on October 8th the most recent environmental communication campaigns, with the presentation The role of citizens. Strategies and Communication Campaigns on the How to Raise Public Acceptance for Waste Management Projects panel; and moderating the session on Citizen Awareness, a key to sustainable and effective waste management.
