NOVEMBER 3RD 2022

The EGF Group won in two categories at  the APCE Grand Prize 2021, with the campaign "The Future of the Planet is Not Recyclable" and the project "Recycling Line".

The Grand Prize of the Portuguese Association of Corporate Communication (APCE) aims to reward every year the best in communication in Portugal, through an independent jury.

The campaign " The Future of the Planet is Not Recyclable " won the award in the Sustainability & ESG: Environmental category. The campaign, launched in October 2020 and co-funded by POSEUR, raised awareness among the population about the prevention, reuse and recycling of urban waste, with messages, videos, visuals and participation in the media. This was a real team effort, with the participation of EGF workers, POSEUR, the agencies Tux&Gill, Tempo Media and M Public Relations.

The Recycling Line received the award in the External Multimedia category: Website, blog and external apps.

The free, public and national call center service has already received more than 28,000 contacts in 2022 and aims to give reliable and concrete answers and solutions to citizens about the waste they have to recover. The adhesion to the Recycling Line has been growing and the evolution by the teams follows the needs that are being identified in this journey, allowing a continuous and increasingly challenging evolution.

The APCE Grand Prize 2021 in the Sustainability & ESG category was attributed to Mota-Engil + White Way, with the 2020 Sustainability Report.

Under the motto "United for all, we reflect tomorrow", Mota Engil's 2020 Sustainability Report had the contribution of specific information on the activity of EGF and the various Concessionaires. This publication contains specific Environmental, Social and Economic information on the waste treatment and recovery activity, among other useful information on the various sectors in which Mota-Engil Group operates.

During the APCE Grand Prize 2021 Ceremony, the trophies of the two editions of the APCE Grand Prize that took place during the pandemic period and whose winners had already been announced through an online Ceremony were handed over. In this case, the EGF Group went on stage to receive the APCE Grand Prize 2020, in the category External Campaign Services (Tertiary Sector), with Algar's campaign "In the Algarve Be Algarvio: Separates" and the Special Edition COVID-19 award - Integrated Campaign - Services (Tertiary Sector), with the campaign #PREVENIRCOVID19.
