EGF was present at the CEWEP Congress dedicated to Energy Enhancement - Making the Circular Economy Happen, which took place in Bilbao (Spain) at the end of September. The participation of the company was assured by Ana Loureiro, Director of Communication, who participated in the panel with the theme Perception of Energy Valorization and learning, moderated by journalist and communicator Katrina Sichel.

Participants in the Congress discussed the Circular Economics Package, how to apply the theoretical goals and assumptions that have led the lectures of the Circular Economy Package in recent years to the complex reality. The role of waste of energy as an obvious link between European waste and energy policies was also addressed.

The conference was attended by European industry, decision-makers and academics who gathered around the famous Guggenheim museum in Bilbao to discuss the most recent waste policy for energy and technological developments. Participants also took the opportunity to visit Zabalgarbi's waste facility for energy, which thanks to its innovative design achieves very high levels of energy efficiency.
