Begins on May 2 a cycle of lectures dedicated to the oceans and their preservation in an unprecedented initiative led by the journalist nautical Nysse Arruda and presented in Lisbon at the Naval Association of Lisbon, which can be watched live and via Live Stream on www.ccoceanos.pt from 6pm (Portugal time).

 

The first intervention features a video interview with Garret McNamara, American wave surfer and world record holder (Nazaré); with a debate on Artificial Reefs: Rebuilding Nature, in which Nuno Marques, Manager, Instructor and Diver - Manta Diving Center, Santa Maria Bay, Sal Island; and Doctor Miguel Tiago de Oliveira, marine biologist - PhD from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Algarve and Director of the Oceanarium of Lisbon.

 

This initiative will also include the participation of EGF, represented by Ana Loureiro, who will introduce the theme of urban waste and marine environment.

 

EGF supports this initiative and throughout the various talks held between May and July, will explain the importance of waste recovery as a fundamental function to ensure that human activity does not negatively interfere with a resource as important to the planet as it is the oceans.
