RESULIMA, EGF subsidiary, together with the Municipal Services, the municipality of Viana do Castelo and Vianafestas, developed an environmental awareness campaign during the Pilgrimage in Honor of Nossa Senhora da Agonia, making this an Ecoevent.

Environmental awareness monitors were present in this Pilgrimage which, together with the 30 volunteers of the Local Bank of Volunteering, approached traders and party participants to promote the improvement of waste separation by encouraging the use of ecopoints and 19 structures. specifically placed for the disposal of recoverable waste.

Different environmental awareness equipment and materials were distributed to traders and the general public, making them aware of the importance of their behavior. As a result of these awareness actions it was possible to collect more than eight tons of valuable waste in this EcoEvento.

These environmental awareness campaigns are supported by the EU Cohesion Fund through the PO SEUR - Operational Program Sustainability and Resource Efficiency.
