Resulima, EGF's concessionaire in the north of the country, together with the City Council, the Viana do Castelo Municipal Basic Sanitation Services (SMSBVC) and the Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation Center (CMIA), boost for the second consecutive year the wrapping paper campaign , “At Christmas, separation is the best gift,” between December 24 and January 6.

The initiative aims to encourage the correct separation of waste, namely from paper that is used for gift wrapping, avoiding its disposal in household waste equipment (undifferentiated waste).

This year, 56 identified containers will be available to promote the correct separation of waste. They will be available in residential areas where there is a greater distance to common ecopoints.

The 2018 campaign collected 1,880 kilos of paper and cardboard, avoiding the felling of approximately 40 trees. Containers, placed at the end of the first half of December, will be available until Kings' Day, January 6, 2020.
