JANUARY 25 2023

The Football Foundation - Liga Portugal and EGF, as the official sustainability partner in the management of waste from professional competitions, have transformed the Final Four of the Allianz CUP into an EcoEvent, making recycling a priority for all.

Between January 21 and 28 there will be a reinforcement of the Containerization, both in the Leiria Municipal Stadium and in the Fan Zone, located in the city centre, as well as in the work areas, with the purpose of promoting good environmental practices and recycling.

During the whole week, in the Fan Zone, there will be Mochileiros who will have the mission of making visitors to the enclosure aware of the good practices of environmental sustainability. Without forgetting the brand image of the Sustainability on Field campaign: the recycling containers near the benches will be present at the Leiria Municipal.

To reinforce the campaign for the promotion and awareness of recycling, the EGF game that encourages and rewards good environmental practices, available in the Recycle Bingo application, will have a special and exclusive mission for all users during this competitive week.

This initiative takes place under the Cooperation for Sustainability protocol between EGF and the Football Foundation, which provides for the joint organisation and promotion of events and initiatives related to the respective areas of operation. Initially, EGF had placed 72 containers for selective separation next to the bench destined for the technical teams.
