It is already on September 26, at 09h30, in Lisbon, that EGF and the Communication Center of the Oceans will present the lecture Plastics and Marine Environment, which will be held at the Valorsul Sorting Centre in Lumiar.

 

It is an unique and exclusive event that counts with the participation of four great specialists in this theme and that will take place in an environment designed using tons of used plastic packaging. The event will be held in a specially designed amphitheater with plastic bales collected selectively in the Lisbon area and will be broadcast livestream at www.egf.pt

Microplastics: What are they and what can we do?

Filipa Bessa, Researcher, MARE-University of Coimbra, specializing in microplastics in marine environments. It cooperates with a number of UNEP initiatives. Won the UN-CleanSeas photo contest.

 

Plastic trash in the seas off the coast of Cascais

Miguel Lacerda, sailor and diver, leader of a pioneering study on plastic garbage on the cliffs and remote beaches of Cabo da Roca and its surroundings.

 

Prevention, Reuse and Recycling under the EGF

Susana Silva, Communication and Awareness Directorate for Amarsul, and will present the latest EGF campaigns to promote environmentally appropriate behavior.
