VALNOR, EGF Concessionaire for the Alto Alentejo region, started in 2016 a social solidarity campaign, aimed at the help of the Voluntary Firefighters Associations, which consists of the collection and delivery of plastic caps and packaging for recycling, thus obtaining funds to support the acquisition of equipment for the respective entities.
 

The objective of this campaign is to encourage the population to valorize plastic by supporting voluntary fire companies (belonging to the 25 municipalities in the area covered by VALNOR), raising awareness of the need to promote and participate in sustainable development, but also to support institutions that, with scarce resources, help those who need it the most.
 

After about a year and a half of the beginning of the campaign, the Municipal Firefighters of Gavião receive a Monitor of Vital Parameters (with approximate value of 1,500 €), result of the delivery of about 8 tons of plastic, for recycling. The material delivery ceremony was held on June 30th, was attended by elements of the Municipal Firemen, City Hall and VALNOR.
