Last Friday, Valorlis gave prizes to students of ISDOM's (Instituto Superior Dom Dinis) Design Licentiate Degree, within the scope of the project “Recycling and Design together for the Environment”, started in the previous school year.

This partnership resulted from the challenge launched by Valorlis to students of ISDOM's Graphic and Industrial Design course and consisted of making an artistic intervention in the large containers used in EcoEvents in the six municipalities in Valorlis' intervention area, under the theme of environmental sustainability and recycling.

The intervention containers were showcased at ISDOM allowing students to observe the result of their work. The decorated containers will be used in the EcoEvents promoted in the six municipalities of Valorlis' intervention area, for the disposal of recyclable packaging.

After the delivery of prizes, the students presented the proposals developed under the "Recycle + Glass" project and the "Reduce disposable plastic" campaign, continuing the partnership established between the two institutions.

The partnership established between Valorlis and ISDOM "allowed to promote the students' creative work and give them the opportunity to intervene in real contexts", explained Cristina Simões, ISDOM Director. Marta Lóia Guerreiro, Executive Director of Valorlis, added that “it is increasingly relevant to involve university students in the reality of companies and establish synergies in the development of projects that contribute to the preservation of the environment”.
