As part of the World Tree Day celebrations, the "Paper Exchange for Plants" campaign in Alcobaça managed to recycle about 8 tons of paper and cardboard.

During 3 days, the municipality offered plants and kits of ecopoints to those who delivered paper, magazines, newspapers and cards to recycle, in an EcoEvento with the support of Valorsul (EGF concessionaire for the regions of Lisbon (North) and West.

As a financial contribution, Valorsul delivered € 435 to the municipality, but the biggest contribution of this environmental event was to avoid the slaughter of 120 trees.
