On average, each inhabitant of the area of the 19 municipalities of Valorsul, EGF Concessionaire for the regions of Lisbon (North) and West, produced 459 kg of waste in 2016 - about 1.3 kg per day.
 
Of this amount, Valorsul delivered 42 kg of materials (paper & board, plastic & metal, glass) per inhabitant for recycling. This was a goal overcome, since it was defined at 40 kg/hab.year. The final goal in 2020 is 49 kg/inhabitant,  and Valorsul continues to work in close partnership with its municipalities to meet this and other demanding objectives set out in PERSU 2020.
