SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY

Respect for the Community and employees is an asset that is reflected in many initiatives. Some of them include education and environmental awareness activities carried out with different specific groups.     

 

EGF and its concessionaires perform exemplary work with their stakeholders, which include continuous school programmes, permanent presence in follow-up committees as well as engagement with companies, partners and institutions.

 

Employees are also very much considered an interested party and internal opportunities to develop their careers and conditions for respecting their professional integrity are promoted in accordance with the principles defined in the Code of Ethics and Conduct implemented.

Projects
Trade to Recycle

At all of EGF's dealerships is initiating a mega-action of awareness that will knock the door of more than 26,000 establishments to inform the trade about the advantages of recycling used packaging, how your selective collection system works and help find solutions whenever there are impediments to their participation. To encourage this initiative, a pedagogical kit with the recycling code will be delivered.

 

Lisbon was the municipality that began this activity that will extend to the 174 municipalities of the intervention areas of the 11 companies owned by EGF, in an action co-financed by the POSEUR - Operational Program for Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources.

EcoEvent

EGF and the 11 Companies, with the support of POSEUR (Operational Program for Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources), are promoting and supporting sustainable events among municipalities and organizations from the North to the South of the country. Summer festivals, sporting events, festivals and pilgrimages are the first target of this campaign which aims to broaden appropriate environmental habits everywhere.

 

A new wave of social innovation has started - many good examples this year are contributing to a better environmental performance of the country, namely in the management of the waste produced.

Ecovalor

The Ecovalor program aims to promote good environmental practices in educational establishments throughout the country, rewarding those that present better performance in the separation of their used packaging. 

 

For each bag of plastic, metal and beverage packages delivered, the school will receive € 0.50, and the best schools in each municipality will be rewarded at higher value.

Our Home is a Planet

The Environmental Education action  " Our Home is a Planet " contemplates the production of 3 specially designed films with contents suitable for 3 different audiences: kindergarten; 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cycle; Secondary / Adult.

 

With an innovative approach and projected in itinerant planetariums, the sensitization actions include, besides the presentation of the films, games on the environmental theme and delivery of pedagogical materials that allow to consolidate the obtained knowledge.

Recycle Bingo

Valorsul, Amarsul and Valorlis, with the support of the Environmental Fund of the Ministry of the Environment, have developed Recycle Bingo - a mobile application whch objective is to educate Portuguese families around the recycling theme.

 

The application works like a game, making the recycling experience much more fun and rewarding!

Recycle More

Amarsul, ERSUC, Resinorte, Resulima, Suldouro, Valorlis and Valorminho, with the support of EGF and Pingo Doce, have developed the project Recycle More, where recycling, in addition to all environmental benefits, the population.

 

The partnership between the 07 companies of EGF and the 15 Pingo Doce stores foresees the exchange of the used packaging for money loaded in Poupa Mais card.

Oceans Communication Center

The Oceans Communication Center, a project sponsored by EGF and it Concessionaires, is an initiative that aims to disseminate and share updated information about Oceans, linking all Portuguese-speaking countries from Lisbon, which will become a pole information about this topic.

 

The first cycle begins on July 4, at 4:00 p.m., in the Maynense Class of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences (Rua Academia das Ciências, 19, Lisbon), and is the beginning of quarterly cycles of LiveStream lectures made by national and international personalities based in historical sites in Lisbon.
